Mr. Lantz has over 20 years of investment banking experience working in raising equity through private placements, IPOs, and public follow-on offerings. Prior to joining Dougherty and Company, Mr. Lantz worked with R. J. Steichen, Miller Johnson Steichen Kinnard, and Feltl and Company.
Mr. Lantz received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science from Wheaton College and an MBA in finance from the University of Minnesota. He holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst.
Mr. Hines has over thirty years of financing and acquisition experience including initial and follow-on public offerings, private equity and debt placements as well as M&A advisory work including sell-side and buy-side representation, valuations and fairness opinions. He also has private company experience in operations, acquisitions and finance. Prior to joining Dougherty & Company, Mr. Hines worked at Oakridge Financial, John G. Kinnard & Co., Craig-Hallum, Inc., Washington Square Capital and Norwest.
Mr. Hines received a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance from the University of St. Thomas and an MBA from the University of Minnesota. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63 and 79 General Securities Licenses and holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst.
Mr. Rekas has more than 20 years experience working on both sides of Wall Street. After receiving his BS in Economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1991, Mr. Rekas joined Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in New York as an technology analyst. In 1997 Bret joined Robertson Stephens & Co. in San Francisco also as a technology analyst. Here, Mr. Rekas authored the weekly technology newsletter BitStream. In 1999, Mr. Rekas moved to the Midwest and began designing and managing investment portfolios for investment management affiliates of Dougherty Financial Group.
Mr. Schnell has over 15 years of capital markets and investment banking experience working both on the buy-side and sell-side in transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, and private and public equity and debt financings. Prior to joining the investment banking team, Mr. Schnell was a Portfolio Manager at Dougherty & Company in Minneapolis, MN. Prior to joining Dougherty, Mr. Schnell worked as a Portfolio Manager at Interlachen Capital Group and Deephaven Capital Management. He began his career in investment banking at Piper Jaffray and working in corporate development for SmartPipes, a SAAS infrastructure company located in Redwood Shores, CA.
Mr. Schnell received a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance, with honors, from the University of Iowa. He holds his FINRA Series 79 General Securities License.
Mr. Sullivan is an accomplished financial executive with over twenty five years of research and investment banking experience. Prior to his return to Dougherty & Company, he was the Director of Corporate Finance at Feltl and Company. Mr. Sullivan also worked for several years as a Research Analyst at both Craig-Hallum and Dougherty & Company. His areas of coverage and prior financial transactions have encompassed a broad range of industries, with the primary focus on emerging growth companies.
Mr. Sullivan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Finance from St. John’s University and holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst.
